Blog
Explore FCC’s latest updates and Rev. Averill’s weekly mini-sermons during lockdown and self-isolation on our blog.
Updates include local community events and church notices while our weekly mini-sermons are meant as “food for thought” mid-week.
Mini-sermons can be read independently of the weekly youtube sermon.

Youtube Sermons
Virtual Ministry is key in these changing times. Watch FCC’s weekly youtube sermons–uploaded every Saturday afternoon to fit into your busy schedule–with Biblical insights on the idea that God is Love.
Every youtube sermon features two to three hymns or contemporary songs on either organ or the piano performed by our organist, Kathy Marks.
A short series of Kid’s Sermons is also available.

Community
Florence Congregational Church is first and foremost a community.
The church is and always will be here for our members and friends in the greater community of Florence. Please see the contact page to get in touch.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:39 (KJV)
The Bible is the basis for the Christian faith and serves as the heart of our understanding in modern times.
It is through the teachings of the Bible, with careful study, that we can gain the strength to love not only God but the rest of humankind as well.
